Tammy was born
On New Year's Day,
Her dad said to himself,
"I hope we can raise her OK!"
I asked God to help us,
In raising her right,
And God knows we tried,
With all of our might!
To instill in her,
The good values of life,
We're so proud of her,
Myself and my wife!!
She was our angel,
Sent from above,
She filled our world,
With beauty and love.
She loved all of nature,
The birds and the deer,
She thanked God above,
For putting them here.
To all who know her,
She was a good friend,
She lived as we taught her,
Right to the end.
She might still be with us,
To brighten our day,
If they hadn't taken,
Nine-one-one away!
She was shot by a coward,
While protecting a friend,
No medics were there,
As she met her end!
The moved nine-one-one to Kelowna,
As most of you know,
'Cause some politicians said,
"It would save some dough!"
But it seems to us,
That's me and my wife,
That you shouldn't save money,
At the risk of life!
Now, a lot of you out there,
Have stories to tell,
Of needing nine-one-one,
And it didn't work well!
But if we had it back here,
Instead of way over there,
I'm sure it would help,
With more timely care!
So, let's all pull together,
There's a lot at stake,
Let's bring it back home,
For Tammy's sake!
