 FAQs

Website FAQs / Help

Q: When I open the media viewer and try to play a video, where the player is, I get screen with a bunch of icons and one spins around and around and nothing happens. What do I do?

A: First off, you need to have the latest Flash plugin installed for your web browser. Click the button below or go to www.adobe.com. Follow the instructions to download and install (it's really easy). You may need to restart your browser or your computer before it works.

Q: In the photo gallery, when I click on a photo, either nothing happens or it opens a new window - instead of showing that cool little screen. What do I do to correct that?

A: Usually, the fix is as simple as doing the same thing as the above answer.

Q: The video player looks kinda small on my screen. Is there any way I can make it bigger?

A: Yes. If your computer and internet connection can handle it, you can make the video play full screen by clicking the button to the left of the volume. See the picture below.

Q: When I play a video, it stops and starts...and stops and starts and plays jittery. But when I play a youtube video, it plays just fine. Why is that?

A: Because this is a website that was created in charity, we simply can not afford the costs involved with streaming servers like those youtube and others use. The videos on this website are actual files on the server that your computer downloads as you watch it. Sometimes, pressing the pause button will allow the file to download in the background. Then after a few minutes you can press the play button and the video should play fine.

Q: Some of the website looks really bad and parts are overlapping each other. What do I do?

A: This website was created with only the newest web browsers in mind. Our suggestion is to visit microsoft.com, firefox.org or whichever company makes your favorite browser and download the newest one.

Q: I see pictures of DVDs, Books & CDs on the website. Are they for sale?

A: No. Actually, they are just photos rendered in a 3D program to spice up the site. We have no plans to create any of those and have them for sale anywhere at anytime.

Q: The website sometimes goes long periods without being updated? Does that mean you guys are slowing down or stopping?

A: Nope. The website's purpose is to reflect and enhance what Don Michalsky does in his quest to have the call center returned or repaired. The time following Tammy's death has been extreamly hard on him and his family. After the "party" in August 2008, he needed a break. If Don isn't doing things that the website can use, then no new information will be added. Remember, this website was built and has been maintained at no cost to the Michalskys. There is no full-time staff to dream up new things when nothing noteworthy is happening.
