I was involved in a motor vehicle accident 1 1/2 yrs ago. I was the one who called 911. As everyone is well aware that when you are in an accident you are in shock afterwards. When the 911 operator asked me where I was, I knew I was on Black Bear corner in Kimberley. They needed to know the highway. For the life of me I could not think at the time. I was told that they could not send help unless they knew the highway. I told her it was the highway between Kimberley and Cranbrook and just to tell the local police that it was Black Bear corner. I ended up having to ask others who had stopped to assist me what the stupid highway number was. 911 should have never been moved. How in the world can you explain where you are to someone who has never been in this area. At least with it being in Cranbrook, the people who work there are from the area and know where places are. PLEASE BRING 911 BACK TO CRANBROOK!!!!
